Facilities and Amenities
What amenities are available?
All accommodations are provided with the essentials for your stay. This includes bath towels, bed linen, face towels, shampoo, conditioner and body soap, plus essential household starter products such as toilet paper, tissues, dishwasher liquid, and laundry detergent.
Can I smoke in the rooms?
All accommodations are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted on balconies and outside the accommodation. If you would like to smoke in approved areas then please talk to your consultant to organise ash trays for use during your stay.
What facilities will be available in my room?
Whilst every accommodation varies, the following items are available in our accommodations:
- Western bedding – including singles and kings, queen size and bunk beds.
- Bathroom/s with shower, toilet (at least 1 with bath – in most accommodations)
- Kitchen with crockery, cutlery, glassware, cookware and utensils
- Refrigerator/freezer, microwave, cooktop and rice cooker. Many properties also have extra facilities such as ovens, dishwashers and even wine coolers!Washing machine in all accommodations and dryer in most (dryer not in Powder Cottage,
- Yotei cottage, Shikaku )
- Television, DVD player, sound systems.
Basically everything you would need to get you through the everyday.
What is the size of the room, apartments and is there a floor plan available?
They all vary. Most indicative floor sizes and floorplans available on website.
Is internet available?
All our accommodations have free Wi-fi internet connection.
Is there a phone?
All our accommodations have a phone for local calls.
Are there views and/or balconies?
Most of our accommodations offer wonderful outlooks and views of the surrounding mountains and village area and/or have balconies.

How can we organise a rental car?
We can offer great prices in rentals cars through Toyota if you book with us direct.
Where do I check-in on arrival?
Check in and check out is conducted at our central office, SkiJapan, in Hirafu village. Driving into Hirafu village along the main road, route 343, you will see two storey, red building with a SkiJapan.com/SummerJapan.com sign. For more detailed directions please ask your consultant when booking.
Alpen Ridge operates a service desk and staff are contactable 24 hours a day.
Is there parking at the accommodation?
Limited parking is available at most accommodations. Your reservations consultants will confirm the number of possible spaces for the accommodation you are staying. In the case there is not enough parking onsite, we may need to suggest alternative public parking areas.
SummerJapan.com will not be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen vehicles or personal property, or for injury to persons, vehicles, or personal property on premises.
Children
Can 2 adults and 1 child sleep in a single bedroom?
1x child 0-5yrs may sleep in the bed with the parents free of charge. Any additional children 0-5yrs or the child is 6yrs and older then you will need to stay in a 2 bedroom apartment.
Baby cots for children 0-2yrs of age are available at an extra cost of ¥1,000 per day. Please let your consultant know your needs at time of booking.
Are high chairs available?
Yes, we can supply highchairs complimentary, subject to availability. We can also supply baby gates at ¥1,500 per day for properties with stairs.

What activities do you recommend?
There an abundance of activites in the area, depending on your likes and age group. For more information see the Activities section from the top menu.
What are the check in/out times?
Check in is from 3pm to 5pm. If you plan to check in outside of these times please advise your consultant when booking.
Check out is by 10am. Late check outs may be arranged in special circumstances and when in resort, depending on the accommodation’s availability. Additional charges may apply.
