• Ferry - Ferry services operate between Honshu and Hokkaido with ports at Otaru, Muroran and Tomakomai.
• Ferry - Regular ferry services operate from several ports on the Japanese island of Honshu to Otaru or Tomakomai which are 1-2 hours by train to Kutchan.
