  • Air - Kutchan is approximately 2hrs from Kutchan by train. There are direct international flights from Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei and Guam. There are domestic flights from Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya.
  • Ferry - Ferry services operate between Honshu and Hokkaido with ports at Otaru, Muroran and Tomakomai.
  • Ferry - Regular ferry services operate from several ports on the Japanese island of Honshu to Otaru or Tomakomai which are 1-2 hours by train to Kutchan.
  • Car - Rental cars are available from Sapporo City or New Chitose Airport. (Bookings Essential)

  • Take Route 275 from New Chitose Airport (~2hrs)

  • Take Route 5 from the Otaru Ferry Terminal (~1.5hrs)
